About Dr. Thurman

Matthew Thurman, MD trained in radiation oncology at The University of Louisville. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology.

For several years he served as Medical Director of his clinic in Western New York bringing cutting-edge multidisciplinary oncology care to his patients.

Dr. Thurman prides himself on taking the time to nurture each patient’s relationship and to treat his patients like family – he understands how hard it is to receive a diagnosis of cancer and ensures that compassion and respect are foremost in his care.

His ultimate desire was to live and work in the Pacific Northwest, and he has come to the Portland Area with the goal of setting down roots and providing excellent service to the local community. Outside of work, Dr. Thurman has many interests, including reading, cooking, learning foreign languages, exploring the outdoors, and traveling.
